Chromascope (“the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension collects, uses, and shares — and more importantly, what it does NOT collect.
Chromascope does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All color picking, palette generation, and history storage happen locally within your browser using your device’s resources. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels.
The Extension uses your browser’s local storage to remember your recent color history and optional preferences (like keyboard shortcuts). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time via browser settings or the extension’s reset option.
Chromascope requires the “activeTab” and “scripting” permissions to read colors from the current webpage when you activate the eyedropper. The extension does NOT access or modify your browsing data outside the color selection action. No remote code is executed.
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, ads, or external APIs that would receive your data. The extension works entirely offline once installed.
Chromascope does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect nothing, there is no risk.

By using Chromascope, you acknowledge that no personal information is collected. Your colors remain yours.
